Grand Palace – Temple Of The Emerald Buddha

The former home of the ruler, the Grand Palace is situated on the ground of the wonder Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The grounds contain in excess of 100 structures, all wonderfully finished with gold and jewels in various colors in old-Bangkok style.


The ruler doesn't live here any longer, and just uses this royal residence for significant events.

The Temple of Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is viewed as the most significant Buddhist sanctuary in Thailand. Buddhists come here from all over Asia to offer their respects.

Situated in an excellent appointment corridor, sits the principle fascination – The Emerald Buddha, a 66 cm tall figure flawlessly cut in green Jade, dressed in gold texture. It portrays the contemplation Buddha rested in a yogic stance. It was found in the northern piece of Thailand in 1434.

What to wear: You should be appropriately dressed before being permitted section into the sanctuary. Wear shirts with sleeves, long jeans or skirts and shoes. No tank tops or short skirts. In case you're wearing shoes or flip-flops you should wear socks, so no exposed feet.
